I was very sad to learn that Kevin DuBrow died this week of as yet unknown causes.

I'm even sadder that "Cum On Feel the Noize" is now playing in my brain and will probably be doing so for the rest of the day.

I loved that song in jr. high. Hari's old band used to open for Quiet Riot, not in the 80s when they were big, but more recently. I was so sad to find out they were all kind of jerks. Their concerts made for the best people-watching, though. Too bad he died.

I remember reading somewhere, like in Circus or Hit Parader or some similar magazine, that what Kevin Dubrow was guzzling on stage from a Jack Daniels bottle was, in fact, iced tea. Even at the age of 13, I thought, "jeez, what a douchebag."

My feelings are if your band has reached the point where you're playing at bars called Bubbas in Coal City, Illinois, you're really in no position to be snubbing your fans, many who drove several miles to see you.
