Turkish Delight
Sep. 14th, 2009 08:07 pmThe description of Edmund's magic Turkish Delight in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe made me think it would be rather like a Lucky Charms marshmallow in taste and texture. I would totally sell my sister out to the White Witch for a bowl of Lucky Charms marshmallows, but then, I am a big fan.
I have eaten real Turkish Delight since, and I can't say I cared for it all that much. It tasted like a rose-flavored jelly bean. Apparently it's much better when it's fresh, unlike pretty much every other kind of candy, which is better stale.
I dunno, maybe its appeal is in its packaging:
You could make a really cool clock out of the box.
Sixteen days!!!
