Heard it on NPR, so it must be true.

It's almost a universal truth that when you're in the middle of the "good old days," you don't realize it at all.

While I love my life as is and the current era (minus a war or two), I think it would be fun to jump in a time machine (a la Back To The Future) and live for a week in 1983 or 84.
