I've taken to calling the kitty on my porch Bartleby, but it told me in my dream last night that its name was Rebecca. If I ever get close enough to peek under its tail, I can make a more informed decision.

I would never call a cat Rebecca, unless she specifically told me that was her name.

I really like Bartleby. But then again, I like Rebecca, too. It sounds very solid and reliable, very farm-wife-ish.

Bartleby may be Rebecca in the same way that Oscar was Sid. Minus the sleeveless undershirt and stogie.

We call the cat on the porch Rufus. He reminds me a lot of my friend's cat, named Magnus. I am sure you can picture him already :)
