I knit another ball last night.

Even though I used comparable weight yarn and the same size needles, it came out much larger than the first one ( size comparison ). I suspect this is because it was done with stockinette stitch as opposed to garter. I hadn't realized it makes that much of a difference regarding density and surface area, but it makes sense that it would.
I had to wrap the lentil balloon in a sock to make it big enough to stuff the ball. Since it's the same weight, it's still great for poi, but being so much larger and less squooshy, not so good for juggling.
