Move about 75% done

It's been a crazy week ... will have to catch up with everyone's news later.
I am about 75% moved into the new house. There are still a lot of books and yarn, plus clothes and stuff that were uncovered when the furniture was moved out yesterday. Right now all the furniture and most of my stuff is in the new house, but the animals are still at the old house; I figure I should get a little more unpacked and situated before putting them in a brand-new environment.
Speaking of cats, the most dramatic thing that happened during the move yesterday was that I thought Marley ran away, but he was simply hiding in the basement. Whew! He's incredibly traumatized, though. It will be a while before he gets over this one. Also Henry kept escaping, but fortunately a 20-year old cat can't run very fast.
Now that the furniture is out of the old house, I can't believe how big it is! It's positively cavernous. Way too much for just one person. The movers agreed the new place is so much nicer, and more appropriate. Right now I'm camping at my old house, on a cot with a foam mattress and everything. I plan to have it all cleaned and ready to sell by the end of the month. Still trying to find new homes for my appliances!
Speaking of the movers, $724 and worth every damn penny. Yay for being middle-aged and affluent!
