Having recently watched the A&E version of The Mayor of Casterbridge (which blew me away, I might add), I'm enjoying Rome just that much more as it features Michael Henchard as Julius Caesar, Donald Farfrae as Mark Antony, and Lucetta Templeman as Atia. Also Clym Yeobright from the 1994 teevee movie of Return of the Native plays Titus Pullo, which makes the Republic seem like some kind of surreal Hardyfest, but there it is.

Titus Pullo is such a big, cheerful brute. I think I love him.
