People look at me incredulously when I say I'm going to Istanbul by myself, and tell me I'm brave, or crazy, or both ... I really don't see what the big deal is. I have the secret power of invisibility when I travel. You can be staring right at me and not even see me. It's a skill I've perfected over the years.

The only think I'm a little apprehensive about is navigating the Grand Bazaar by myself. I really like to look at things even when I don't have any intention of buying them, and I understand that's not the way business is done there.
