Yesterday, as I dumped a basketful of the 50%-off Halloween candy bags on the counter, the cashier asked me if I wanted to donate a dollar to the American Diabetes Association.

The best part was, the cashier had Down's Syndrome! So I really don't know if she realized the glorious irony of it all! I suspect not, as she had absolutely no changed affect in her countenance and she asked the same thing of the guy behind me who was buying a pack of cigarettes.

I got Tootsie Pops, M-azing minis, Milky Way minis, Snickers with Almonds minis, and the Hershey Assortment with nuts.
