I decided to hire movers because no way was I going to ask that my friends (I've acquired some really large, heavy antique wood pieces and our creaky backs just don't spring back the way they used to!), but now that I've seen movers in action, there's no going back. It's an amazing thing to watch. They were really good. Also nothing got broken, but if it did it would be insured ... if any of my friends broke anything while helping me move, nothing good could come of it.

All that said, I could use some help getting assorted odds and ends out of the old house; just hauling boxes and appliances from Point A to Point B. What is your availability this week?
