I'm trying to decide if I like this, or if it looks too much like something worn by a bridesmaid in a Kuntry Kitchen wedding

I would like it better in black or a dark color.

I'd have to say the latter. It either needs to be much finer or much more aggressive-looking.

I think you're right ... I made a pair earlier with a dark purple-black yarn and really liked the way they turned out.

How does one make crochet look aggressive?
